The concept of Yoga Medicine was founded in 1995 by Vicki Giafis.
Initially seeking relief from the pressures of her corporate career in investment banking, Vicki began the practice of yoga in search for a more balanced life. Beginning her yoga journey in January of 1994, Vicki loved the practical and spiritual approach to health and wellbeing so much, she qualified as a teacher.
Having witnessed and experienced workplace stress, Vicki began to bring yoga into the workplace and has since worked with more than 50 companies in Melbourne, teaching yoga and stress management. With the request to teach yoga growing enormously, Vicki left her corporate career in 2001 and has since taught yoga full time.
Through continued study in Australia and India, Vicki has deepened her knowledge and expertise and has studied with some of the most respected authorities within the field of yoga therapy.
Vicki is highly skilled in combining eastern principles with western practicalities, and is adept at tailoring programs to the unique environment and needs of each group or individual, whether it be in a community hall or a corporate boardroom. Vicki has developed classes for a range of different needs including the corporate workplace, community classes, gymnasiums, aged facilities, hospital environments, serviced based industries, universities and secondary schools, charity organisations and individuals.
Committed to the health and wellbeing of others, Yoga Medicine is practiced with a professional approach of the highest standards. Through her students and staff, Vicki offers a consistent service tailored to your group or individual requirements. Making Yoga Medicine and ideal choice for your workplace, community group, family or self.
