Bringing yoga home - self care with your own personal practice.

Yoga in your 20s, 30s, 40s and beyond. As time goes by, your body changes and so should your yoga practice. With Yoga Medicine, your practice is updated on a needs basis, evolving as you do.

Although yoga’s teachings are universally applicable, the fact remains that no two people are exactly alike. Understanding that everyone is different, traditional ancient masters tailored yoga practice to suit the needs, capabilities and personality and motivating factors of each student. You would not go to a doctor that only prescribed one pill for all conditions and illnesses. So why would you apply one yoga practice and the same postures for all? For example, what is right for an energetic 14-year-old teenage girl is very different to the needs of a 65-year-old cardiac patient.

Yoga Medicine offers you this traditional tailored approach. Through your consultation, your teacher creates a written personalised yoga practice for you to do on your own at home, taking into consideration your unique characteristics, your individual needs, capabilities, time constraints, aspirations and goals. Ongoing support is provided so you can confidently incorporate your yoga practice into your daily life.

Whether instead of, or in conjunction with, a regular group class, your own tailored yoga practice has many benefits and enables you to provide self-care and to be an active participant in the management of your own health and wellbeing each day. Although there are many benefits to be had from a regular group class, you will find that personalised practice on a regular basis really changes you.
